DS Team Helps Produce Student Interviews with CIIS
Recently the Digital Scholarship team worked with the Center for International and Intercultural Studies (CIIS) to record interviews with students about their experiences studying abroad.
Filming took place in ODY’s Digital Seminar Room, which has been reconfigured as a set for filming documentary-style interviews. Dozens of student participants came to share their stories.
Caitlin Hatz, Director of Off-Campus Programs, conducted the interviews. DMF student June Phobchanat, Class of 2028, recorded the interviews and monitored the audio recording. She will work with the video and audio files to edit films for CIIS, who hired her for the project.
Eric Williams Bergen, Director of Digital Scholarship, said he was excited to help document student stories. He also appreciates the opportunity to record in the newly reconfigured room. “We’re looking forward to the teaching opportunity the space provides,” he said. “Especially for students interested in filming professional documentary-style interviews.”
