“DFN is inspired by, but unaffiliated with, the book Data Feminism, written by Catherine D’Ignazio and Lauren F. Klein and published by the MIT Press. We are a group of young professionals who decided to take the message of the book and build a community of practice around it. Data feminism is a framework for thinking about data science and ethics that is guided by ideas of intersectional feminism.”
