Sennheiser G4 Setup

Frequency Scan

  1. Turn off the Transmitter.
  2. On the Receiver, press “Set” to open the menu.
  3. Scroll to “Easy Setup,” and press “Set.”
  4. Scroll to “Scan New List” and press “Set” to start the scan. (This will take a minute or two.)
  5.  Once the scan is complete, use the “Up” and “Down” buttons to choose a Bank Number and press “Set.”
  6. Lastly, choose a Channel Number and press “Set.”
  7. To Sync the Transmitter and Receiver, press “Set” on the Receiver to open the Menu.
  8. Go down to “Sync” and press “Set”.
  9. Hold the Infra-Red Interface (the purple-is square next to the on/off button) on the Transmitter next to the infra-red interface on the Receiver. Once synced, the Receiver will display a checkmark, and the frequency numbers will match on both packs.

Sync/Lync Receiver and Transmitters

METHOD 1

  1. To Sync the Transmitter and Receiver, press “Set” on the Receiver to open the Menu.
  2. Go down to “Sync”, and press “Set”.
  3.  Hold the Infra-Red Interface (the purple square next to the on/off button) on the Transmitter next to the infra-red interface on the Receiver. Once they’re synced, the Receiver will display a checkmark, and the frequency numbers will match on both packs.

METHOD 2

  1. Use the “Up and Down” buttons to match the Bank Number shown on the Receiver, then press “Set”. Do the same to match the Channel Number.
  2. On the Transmitter, press “Set” to open the menu.
  3. Go down to “Frequency Preset” and press “Set”.

Next: Set your sensitivity level and set your AF out level

Adjust sensitivity levels by watching the audio meters and considering what will be recorded.

Do NOT Use Phantom Power!
