Mutanu Mbithi, Class of 2026, is from Nairobi, Kenya. She plans to pursue a double major in Public Health and Biology with a minor in Global Studies. She has a keen interest in web design and virtual reality, driven by her belief that these technologies can contribute to making public health policies more equitable.
Mutanu envisions that by expanding the use of technological tools, healthcare and information can become more accessible to a larger percentage of people. This could involve designing user interfaces for web-based health monitoring platforms and creating platforms for online collaboration and training in our globalized world.
Recognizing the importance of becoming familiar with these technological tools, Mutanu aims to enhance her communication and active participation in virtual or remote work and social environments. She sees the potential for these skills to contribute to making healthcare more inclusive and fostering informed communities on a global scale.
