Katanu Kimanzi is from Nairobi, Kenya, the “green city in the sun.” She is planning on double-majoring in Government and Global Studies with a focus on international relations and cultural connections. She eventually wants to pursue a law degree and hopefully specialize in international law and human rights.
Her favourite leisure activities include cooking, baking, watching Netflix, spending hours on TikTok, and reading a good book. Fun fact about Katanu: She is a serious dog mum.
She has a strong interest in human rights and gender equity and is passionate about tackling inequality and social justice. She is excited to learn and gain knowledge from the Digital Scholarship Fellowship and immerse herself in the tech space. She is excited to combine the fellowship with her fields of study and hopes to use the skills and experience gained to enable safe discourse on various digital platforms and be a part of the wheel of change.
