As the GIS/GPS Technician, Dakota works with faculty and students in the science library’s GIS computer Lab and in the classroom. Also, he assists with spatial analysis and geographic information systems, and manages the library’s GPS devices and large format printer.
Dakota holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and a MS in Land Use Planning Policy from the University of Nevada, Reno. During his graduate work, he was part of a research team which conducted scenario based urban growth models around military installations in the desert southwest using a geographic information system.
