Biography
I am Anuva Anannya from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am a sophomore at St Lawrence University intending to double major in Geology and Anthropology. My interest in the field of Geology lies in Planetary Sciences, and in Archaeology in the field of Anthropology. Through my pursuits of the two fields, I want to explore and understand both humankind and the world that we inhabit. I am also extremely passionate about giving back to my country, especially in ways that will help us preserve our cultural heritage, as well as protect and effectively use our natural resources.
Aside from academics, my activities include involvements with clubs like A.S.I.A, I-House, Islamic Culture Club, Common Ground Connections – Global Citizen Advocates, and Club of American Sign Language. I am an E-board member of A.S.I.A and Islamic Culture Club. I am in SLU Dance Ensemble where I mostly perform Kathak and Bharatnatyam (forms of Indian Classical dance). I also play the piano.
As a Digital Scholarship Fellow, my goal is to learn to implement my newly learned digital skills in communicating my knowledge, ideas, and experiences to a large scale of audience, creating a meaningful impact.
