Valeria Obregon, ’24, is an international student from Tijuana, México. She expects to do a combined major of Environmental Studies and Sociology and a minor in Gender Studies. She is highly interested in the role she can play to solve current social problems in her home country, Mexico. She joined the Digital Scholars Fellowship Program to learn digital tools that will help her to be a better advocate for the social movements she cares the most about: the environmental crisis, feminism, and migration. Valeria is also currently part of the Sustainability Program and a Black Initiative Grant recipient. She also works as an Admissions Ambassador, a Spanish tutor, and as an Art Monitor in the Brush Art Gallery.
