Summer Fellow

Emily Sheltry is a History major at St. Lawrence University.  Emily worked on "The Zapata Project" for her St. Lawrence University Fellows summer research project with Evelyn Jennings, Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Academic Advising Programs, as her advisor.  Emily investigated the ways in which the image of Emiliano Zapata has changed from Zapata’s initial creation, and the ways that the image has been applied to the Zapatista movement.  

She is working with Director of Digital Initiatives, Eric Williams-Bergen to develop a digital platform to present her results, Emily built digital timelines and other visualizations to accompany her analyses.
