Emily Harris, ’23, is from Damariscotta, Maine. She is interested in pursuing a combined major in Asian Studies and History with a minor in Government. She is fascinated by local history, architecture, the design of historical landmarks, and the narratives of historical peoples. As a Digital Scholarship Fellow, she is excited to learn new digital skills to help others visualize the buildings, places, and people she is passionate about. By participating in the DSF program, she hopes to learn more about technologies for drafting, including Architectural Desktop and AutoCAD. She also hopes to find ways to display historical images online in an accessible and entertaining way that not only shows people the beauty and design of buildings and landmarks, but includes the history and significance behind those designs.
