Alejandra Altamirano Salazar, ‘24, is a young Latin-American woman from Costa Rica. At St. Lawrence University she intends to major in Environmental Studies and plans to explore other interests such as food and sustainability, visual arts, music, and film. Alejandra is a part of the SLU Sustainability Program and has been a part of clubs such as La Sociedad, Seed to Table, and the Wind Ensemble. During her gap year with Global Citizen Year in Brazil she was part of the “Tech for Good” pilot program that focused on the uses and impact of technology in our daily lives. Alejandra hopes that combining both experiences, “Tech for Good” and Digital Scholars, she will continue to find ways to effectively communicate human experiences through digital tools and reflect on technology accessibility.
