Bio

Richard Jenseth received a MA in Rhetoric from SUNY Albany and a PhD in English from Iowa, where he was also a member of the Iowa Writers Workshop in Poetry. Before coming to SLU, he was a member of the faculty at Lehigh University, where he taught courses in discourse and textual theory and supervised graduate teaching assistants. At SLU, he served as Director, University Writing Program and has taught Literary Theory, Cultural Encounters and writing. Presently he teaches Film History, Film Theory and a variety of special topic film courses. His publications include Constructing Nature, co-authored with Edward Lotto.
